American Bankers Association

The American Bankers Association (ABA) represents banks of all sizes on issues of national importance for financial institutions and their customers.

The association's mission is to serve its member banks and enhance their role as preeminent providers of financial services. ABA accomplishes this mission through federal legislative and regulatory activities, legal action, communication and consumer education, research and products and services that promote, educate, train, inform and support members.

American Bankers Insurance Association

The American Bankers Insurance Association (ABIA) is a separately chartered affiliate of the American Bankers Association. As the only Washington, D.C. based full service association for bank insurance interests, ABIA is dedicated to furthering the policy and business objectives of banks in insurance and is a comprehensive resource for marketing, compliance, and other bank insurance operation information.

Bank Administration Institute

Bank Administration Institute (BAI) is devoted exclusively to improving the performance of financial services companies through strategic research and information, education and training.

BAI provides a comprehensive range of end-to-end solutions to address strategic and operational problems facing financial services organizations. Offerings include conferences and seminars, graduate schools, in-house education, and a full range of online and text-based training courses.

Bank Insurance & Securities Association

Bank Insurance & Securities Association (BISA) represents those responsible for marketing securities, insurance and other investment and risk management products through commercial banks, trust companies, savings institutions and credit unions. The membership includes financial institutions of all sizes, their broker/dealer, insurance and mutual fund subsidiaries, as well as firms providing products and/or services to support these operations. BISA was formed by the merger of the Bank Securities Association (BSA) and the Financial Institutions Insurance Association (FIIA) in 2002.

CFA Centre for Financial Market Integrity

CFA Centre for Financial Market Integrity is the research and policy center of CFA Institute. Created to develop timely, practical solutions to global capital market issues, the CFA Centre administers standards and guidelines developed by CFA Institute, including Global Investment Performance Standards (GIPS), AIMR-Performance Presentation Standards (AIMR-PPS), Research Objectivity Standards, Soft Dollar Standards and Trade Management Guidelines. 

CFA Institute

CFA Institute (formerly know as known as the AIMR—the Association for Investment Management and Research) is the professional association that administers the Chartered Financial Analyst curriculum and examination program worldwide and sets voluntary, ethics-based professional and performance-reporting standards for the investment industry.  CFA Institute has 76,000 members in 119 countries. Its membership includes the world’s 64,000 CFA charterholders, as well as 131 affiliated professional societies and chapters in 52 countries and territories. CFA Institute is headquartered in Charlottesville, Virginia with additional offices in New York, London and Hong Kong.

Financial Research Corporation (FRC), is a financial services research and consulting firm specializing in market analytics, advanced research studies and customized solutions designed to assist industry professionals in the development and implementation of successful product and distribution strategies and tactics.

Investment Company Institute

The Investment Company Institute (ICI) is the national association of the American investment company industry. The Institute represents its members and their shareholders in matters of legislation, regulation, taxation, public information, economic and policy research, business operations and statistics. ICI seeks to enhance public understanding of the investment company business, to serve the public interest by encouraging adherence to the highest ethical standards by all segments of the industry, and to promote the interest of fund shareholders.

Money Management Institute

The Money Management Institute (MMI) is the national association for the rapidly growing managed account industry and represents the interest of the many financial advisors and investors employing this investment management service.

National Association of Insurance and Financial Advisors

National Association of Insurance and Financial Advisors (NAIFA) is comprised of 900 state and local associations and represents the business interests of 80,000 life and health insurance agents and financial advisors nationwide. Many of NAIFA's members are NASD-licensed registered representatives or registered investment advisors. Benefits of membership include legislative and regulatory representation, education and training, and networking opportunities.

The NAIFA umbrella includes the Division of Financial Advisors and three specialty organizations: the Association for Advanced Life Underwriting (AALU), the Association of Health Insurance Advisors (AHIA) and GAMA International.

National Association of Securities Dealers

National Association of Securities Dealers (NASD) is the largest securities industry SRO in the world. Through its subsidiaries, NASD develops rules and regulations, conducts regulatory reviews of members, disciplines violators, provides arbitration and mediation services, and regulates securities markets for the benefit and protection of the investor.

Professional Association for Investment Communications Resources

The vision of the Professional Association for Investment Communications Resources is to enhance investment industry communications by empowering and educating men and women worldwide who are support resources for client services and marketing. Membership offers individuals opportunities for education, certification, networking and professional growth. PAICR promotes high professional standards and provides its membership the means to achieve these standards.

Risk Management Association

Risk Management Association (RMA) is the association of lending, credit, and risk management professionals that serves the financial services industry. RMA tracks current issues affecting the industry and continually develops new products and services that address the latest trends in credit risk management.

Securities and Exchange Commission

The primary mission of the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) is to protect investors and maintain the integrity of the securities markets. To achieve this, the SEC requires public companies to disclose meaningful financial and other information to the public, which provides a common pool of knowledge for all investors to use to judge for themselves if a company's securities are a good investment. The SEC also oversees other key participants in the securities world, including stock exchanges, broker-dealers, investment advisors, mutual funds, and public utility holding companies.

The SEC also offers the public a wealth of educational information on its Internet website at www.sec.gov. The website also includes the EDGAR database of disclosure documents that public companies are required to file with the Commission.

Securities Industry Association

The Securities Industry Association (SIA) was established through the merger of the Association of Stock Exchange Firms and the Investment Banker's Association. The SIA brings together the shared interests of more than 740 securities firms to accomplish common goals. SIA member-firms are active in all U.S. and foreign markets and in all phases of corporate and public finance.

Society of Financial Service Professionals

The Society of Financial Service Professionals—formerly the American Society of CLU & ChFC—has been helping individuals, families, and businesses achieve financial security.

The Society has a strong commitment to helping its members deliver only those financial products and planning services that are in their clients' best interests. Its mission is to advance the professionalism of credentialed members in diverse disciplines so that they may better serve their clients' financial needs.
